Recipe Box: Summer Satin Salad.

7/11/2019

Summer has not been so hot this year. Personally, I don't mind it, because I have something that keep me cool and it not to hot. It the only thing that I like to make during the summer, because I don't need no stove or hot to make it. It my Satin Summer Salad that I absolutely love and it smother in Italian dressing that tastes like satin, it smooth, it keeps me cool in the summer. The question is, why must I choose this summer, What so great about it? Why do I think this salad taste so good? Why not give the other salads a chance? To be truthful, I don't just stick to this salad, I try multiples. Sometimes I like to keep my options open, because I don't know what I am missing.
So when it comes to summer, there are so many things that you can do to this salad to make sure you love it on your own. There one thing for sure, I hope you like Italian dressing, because to me it the dressing of summer. When you decide to make this Salad, please used one thing, please make it the way you want to and with the things you love. Not everyone likes the same things, I know I don't, one thing about me, I don't like meat in my salads. I like all veggies. Let me tell you how I created my Satin Summer Salad.

1/2 cup Light Lettuce ( Small Chunks)
1/2 cup Mushrooms ( chopped)
1/2 cup Sugar  Snap Peas ( Cut in Half to give you more)
1/2 cup Onions ( chopped)
1/2 cup Tomatoes (dice)
1/2 cup Carrots ( Cut, But I brought it that way)
3 tablespoons of Italian dressing

Last but not least, Mixed all of it in a mixing bowl and add your Italian dressing, I want to say 3 tablespoons, but we all are different. So you can put as much is needed. When mixing your ingredients together, just remember, that the 1/2 cups will make a serving of 2 people. So if you are eating for one, try to measure it according to you and what you would eat. (Hint: if you do follow these instructions, just remember you don't have to add the Dressing if you are splitting the salad, for one for lunch and one for dinner, just add as you eat, not before, because it tends to get soggy after it been sitting for to long.)

The history behind the Summer Satin Salad is that when you put Italian dressing on it, it looks like satin, soft and it has that shine to it. So I decided to called it Summer Satin Salad. I know the name isn't so that. I decided to called it something that people would never think. I know that we all heard it before, sometimes you wouldn't think of naming a salad that.

If you guys would like me to start taking pictures of everything that I do, when it comes to making these types of food, please let me know and I would be happy to.

Please let me know in the comments below.
